Privacy Policy

Pursue ATL (“Pursue ATL,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at pursueatl.com, the member directory, the Atlanta events aggregator, and the associated Discord community. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Account information from Google. Signing in uses Google. Google sends us your name, email address, and profile picture. We never receive your Google password, and we do not read your Gmail, Drive, or personal calendar.

What you tell us during onboarding. New members have a short conversation with our onboarding assistant about what they are building, their stage, their focus area, and what they are looking for. We store the full transcript of that conversation.

Your member profile. The profile drafted from that conversation, plus any edits you make, along with a short summary and tags used to find you in the directory.

Introduction and matching activity. Introduction requests you send or receive, the notes attached to them, your responses, and your matching preferences and answers to occasional follow-up questions.

Discord details. If you connect Discord, we store your Discord user ID and username so we can add you to the server and recognize you there.

Technical information. A session cookie named pursueatl_session that keeps you signed in for up to 60 days, and standard server and analytics data such as pages visited, approximate region, browser, and referring site.

We do not collect payment card details. Membership is currently free and there is no checkout on the site.

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To build your directory profile and make you findable by other members.
• To identify genuine matches between members and to make warm introductions.
• To add you to and manage your membership in the Discord community.
• To operate, debug, and improve the site and the events aggregator.
• To contact you about your account, introductions, and community activity.
• To enforce our Terms of Service and protect members from spam, abuse, and misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We use an AI assistant to run the onboarding conversation, to draft your directory profile from it, and to help surface potential matches between members. Your conversation and profile content are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, for this processing.

Anthropic processes this content on our behalf under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models. A human reviews introductions before they are made — matching is assisted by AI, not decided by it, and no decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you is made solely by automated means.

Your profile is private until you publish it. Nothing you say during onboarding appears in the directory until you choose to publish. You can unpublish at any time.

The directory is members-only. It requires a signed-in account, is not open to the public, and is excluded from search engine indexing. Your email address is never displayed in the directory.

Introductions. When you request an introduction, the note you write is shown to the person you are asking to meet. If you receive a request, any private context you add to your response is never shown to the requester.

Onboarding transcripts are not public. They are visible only to Pursue ATL organizers, and are never shown to other members.

Anything you post in the Discord server is visible to other server members and is governed by Discord’s own privacy policy.

We share personal information only with the providers that make the service work, and only as needed for them to perform their function:

• Google — sign-in authentication, and reading the public community events calendar.
• Anthropic — AI processing of onboarding conversations, profiles, and matching.
• Airtable — storage of member profile content.
• Discord — community server membership and identity.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, database, and network security.
• Metricool — website analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our members. If Pursue ATL is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, member information may transfer as part of that transaction; we will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived cookie during sign-in to protect against request forgery. Our analytics provider sets cookies to measure site traffic. We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site ad tracking.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in.

We keep your account information and profile for as long as your account is active. Sessions expire after 60 days. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, onboarding transcript, introduction history, and preferences within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records to comply with law or to resolve disputes.

You can edit your profile, unpublish it, pause introductions, adjust your matching preferences, and disconnect Discord from your account settings at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. Georgia and most U.S. states do not currently grant a general consumer privacy right, but we extend these choices to every member regardless of location. Email kolin@pursuenetworking.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Sign-in is delegated to Google, so we never handle your password. Sessions use opaque, randomly generated tokens stored in cookies that are HTTP-only, same-site, and encrypted in transit. Access to member data is limited to organizers who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Pursue ATL is based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed on servers outside your country. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.

Pursue ATL is intended for adults building companies. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will notify members by email or through the site before the change takes effect.
